Denver Art Museum
foto: 8 giugno 2005Thanks to overwhelming community support, the Denver Art Museum has embarked on its first major expansion in more than thirty years. When the
current building on 14th Avenue opened in 1971, it put the Denver Art Museum on the architectural map. The addition of the Frederic C. Hamilton Building, a geometric explosion of glass and titanium designed by Daniel Libeskind, will be an internationally significant work of architecture and a signature landmark for the city of Denver.[…] Construction began in July 2003. It will take more than a year to erect the steel structure of the building, and exterior titanium installation will begin in mid-2004. The building is scheduled to open to the public in fall 2006.
